Question: What's the voice like on Milestone?

Answer: Milestone uses synthetic voices from Acapela, for example Heather in US English.


Question: Are there other voices and languages available to choose from for M312?

Answer: Yes. You can switch to several other voices like Ryan or Laura, as well in US English or even change to another language. At the moment we have 30 voices in 13 languages in high quality (50) available and 15 voices in 11 languages in the lower quality (20).


Question: How many voices can I install on Milestone 312?

Answer: You can install up to 6 different voices with high quality (50) on your Milestone 312 or up to 8 voices with lower quality (20).


Question: How to change the voice or language on Milestone 312?

Answer: Go to the application "Audio" by pressing the tiny "Selector" button on the top. Then, press the lower "Mode" button until the unit starts talking. Now, you are in the Information Service. Then, press the right arrow once. Now you are in the menu stream "Local Settings". Now, navigate down with the "Mode" button until you reach the entry "Language". Here, you can choose among voices with the right arrow. To choose, simply wait a few seconds (timeout) or press "Play".
